What we have to offer: Conveniently located on the scenic Lighthouse Route between the very scenic
quintessential seaside towns of Mahone Bay, and the UNESCO World Heritage
Town of Lunenburg. You can witness boat builders at work building schooners
or dories on the waterfront of even visit the rebuild of Canada's Queen of
the Atlantic- The Bluenose which is the sailboat on the dime. You will also
find the best Farmers Market in Nova Scotia every Thursday in Lunenburg.
The area is perfect for relaxation, a day at the beach, a hike in the woods,
sea kayaking at the quant village of Blue Rocks, the area is perfect for
biking, there are numerous day trips that can be done from here, the Trans
Canada trail passes behind us in the woods, it is a short walk on the road
then a logging road to access it, which can be done on mountain bikes.
We have ironworks distillery in town and the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival
or the Mahone Bay Pirate Festival will have entertainment for everyone.
It is not hard to see why TV shows like Haven, Stone Cold, movies like Moby
Dick, Dolores Claiborne, Amelia Earhart, and Candles on Bay St were filmed
here.
Less than 20 minutes away is Hirtles Beach, a surfers favorite for it's
rugged natural beauty, and at the end of the beach is the popular Gaff Point
Hiking Trail. To get there you pass the ovens sea caves and the popular Sand
Dollar Beach where you can find sand dollars at low tide.
We have a very scenic waterfall a short drive away, with a great swimming
hole to cool off in on warm summers days.
We have three sailing companies nearby, one will take a group for five hours
stopping on an island for lunch, for less than $200.00. We have shark diving
and fishing trips nearby, or a relaxing boat trip around some of the 365
Islands in Mahone Bay, visit a mussel farm, buy some and cook them fresh.
We are an hour from Halifax, Peggy's Cove, or the Annapolis Valley.

How to get here: Trius Bus service departs Halifax every day at 5.30pm, if you let the driver
know you are coming here he will stop at our gate, just let him know ahead
of time.
Bike Here, we have Hybrids available to rent, we can drop the bikes off in
Halifax or the Annapolis Valley we can take most of your luggage and you can
bike to us, as many have done before.
